Q: What is Source energy?
A: Many spiritual philosophies throughout history share a belief in a living universal energy field of infinite possibility — a field of eternal wisdom and energy that sustains living beings while guiding the evolution of consciousness throughout the universe.
Meditation techniques can bring us into harmony with this energy, allowing us to be clearer channels, so that Source energy will flow through us smoothly and abundantly. This can result in more physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance, and assist us in the realization of our highest destinies as we make a unique and lasting contribution to the world.
The Antara method focuses this abundant energy through specific intention, to stimulate the raw creative healing forces within the physical body.
Q: What can I expect during an Antara session?
A: During an Antara session, I will share intuitive insights into your health challenges, I will guide you through a meditation that draws in Source energy from the universe, and through mind-body exercises that build trust and cooperation between you and your physical body. You will be given instructions for continuing this practice on your own. With continued practice, you will train your brain to enter deeper alpha and theta brainwave states. This will allow you to become more receptive to these healing universal energies, and dramatically increase your ability to communicate between mind and body.
You may experience physical sensations, such as tingling, pressure, warmth or coolness in different parts of your body. With continued practice you may experience obvious pulling, stretching and “unwinding” sensations within the connective tissues (fascia), fascial adhesions peeling apart, the sensation of energy moving through defined pathways in your body (acupuncture channels), nerves firing, bones and joints shifting into different positions and noises coming from your digestive organs. All of this is natural and is a sign that your physical body is listening to you, cooperating with you, and helping to guide the healing process.
Q: How many sessions will I need?
A: The number of sessions and the results will vary depending on the intentions and needs of the client. Many clients feel that they receive enough guidance from just one session, to be able to continue the practice on their own. Multiple sessions allow for deeper work. Regular practice on your own will greatly influence your receptivity and productivity during your sessions with me. Because Antara dramatically enhances communication between the conscious mind and the autonomic nervous system, many health conditions may benefit from this method. The general goal is to help you master this method, and provide you with a self-healing technique that you can use as needed for life.
Q: I have tried to meditate and found it difficult to quiet my mind, what if I can’t reach an alpha or theta brainwave state?
A: Anyone can learn to meditate by committing to a schedule. If you set aside a specific amount of time to practice daily or every other day, your brain will gradually shift closer and closer to alpha and theta states. In these brainwave states your mind naturally becomes quiet. You could compare learning to meditate with learning to play a musical instrument. You would not expect to be able to play a song on a guitar the first time you pick one up. Letting go of the idea that meditation has to be ideal and comfortable right from the start, is the first step. With consistent practice your mind will reach levels of peace and contentment far beyond your imagination.
Q: Are remote sessions available?
A: Remote sessions are available for clients within the U.S. and abroad. Clients who are calling from outside the U.S. can use WhatsApp or Skype to contact me.
For remote sessions, please find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. You will need to be lying down, hands-free for the session. You can either use speaker phone or a radiation-free headset.
Q: How do I prepare for a session?
A: When you schedule a session, you will be sent instructions for calling in and a link to a guided meditation that will begin training your brain to enter alpha and theta states. I ask that you practice this meditation daily, leading up to your first session. There is a fee of $9.95 to download this meditation.
Allow yourself to get plenty of sleep the night before your session. You want to be deeply relaxed but still alert enough to follow instructions.
Avoid consuming caffeine the same day. Stimulants can interfere with your ability to enter theta brainwave states.
Eat a nutritious meal with a good source of protein between 1-3 hours before your session. Your ability to focus is important for a productive session.
When you call, please use a hands-free headset so that you can relax your whole body during the session.
Q: What conditions are contraindicated?
A: Because the techniques used while practicing this method can lead to powerful energy movement in the body, it is not recommended during pregnancy.
Mind-body medicine may be contraindicated in clients who suffer from severe heart disorders, epilepsy, dementia, severe mental illness and in clients who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It is recommended that you consult your physician before starting any new therapy program.
Pain is the body’s way of signaling that something needs attention. A physician should first be consulted to determine the underlying physical causes of chronic pain before beginning Antara.
Antara works in conjunction with medical therapy and is not a substitute for it.
